Carpenter ants can be easily confused with termite swarmers. Carpenter Ants will have 3 distinct body parts. Sugar ants or also known as the odorous house ant are commonly found in the kitchen and bathroom areas. These ants are small in size and are attracted to sweet and sugary materials. Sugar ants are not harmful but can be a nuisance when in great numbers.
Pavement Ants
Pavement Ant
Pavement ants are also super common and can nest underneath pavement or rocks. These ants can be easily reduced with granular bait treatment as well as spraying the pavement area. Pavement ants are not harmful but can be annoying and infest your home. Pavement ants are dark brown in color and are about 3mm long.
